Re: A Couple Minor Bugs
I've not had any issues with the woofer diameter. I just tested, works OK. I also haven't had any other reports of a problem with that. I'd suggest trying again. If you still have a problem, send me your csp file. The problem with the invert/normal was just recently brought to my attention by someon...

Re: No Parallel LC Network?
10K is sufficient. I set the options to match what is in the PCD spreadsheet. I'll look into adding another option that leaves out the resistor, but for now setting the parallel resistor to 10K essentially has the same effect.

v1.403 - Auto Calcs added
The automatic calculations for the crossover sections (textbook values), the Before/After circuits and the circuits in parallel with the driver have all been added. Each of these requires the user to enter two or three values. The crossover calcs are based on the type of crossover target selected (L...

Re: frd and zma files
I would like to know if PCD file format in importing ZMA and FRD files is sensitive to - if the field value decimal separator is comma ( , ) or dot ( . ) or - if the different value´s field separator can be one or several blanks or tabulator or ; - or if computer´s regional settings have impact to ...

Re: DIY New England 2014 - Transducer Lab sponsorship
I've finally put up a page with some photos from the event. Congratulations to Jess on winning the draw for the Transducer Lab tweeters.

v1.402 - Bug fix release
A user found a problem with the midrange lowpass. A third or fourth order electrical lowpass with non-zero in the fourth element (second capacitor) had an error from an editing typo. This appears to have been long-standing, so I highly recommend that you get the latest release if you may want a midr...

Re: Look at csp file
The csp file in WinPCD includes the file names and full path to them, but they are local on your PC. Someone would have to also have your measurements and set up to match or manually import each one first to recreate what you have. You won't get many hits on this sub-forum and are unlikely to get so...

DIY New England 2014 - Transducer Lab sponsorship
Transducer Lab will be sponsoring the meet this year. They will be sending a matched pair of Carbon Fiber tweeters :D . That's this Saturday, Oct. 25th, so if you weren't planning to attend, you've got a good reason to change your mind. I can't wait to see what they look like up close. It will be fr...

Re: Baffle step...
Sorry I missed this. The WinPCD board hasn't very active for a while and I tend to glance too quickly to see if there's something new. I'm not aware of any free software that does not rely on Excel at the moment, at least not one that can output a diffraction signature file or is integrated with cro...

Re: Version release notifications - v1.4 available
The changes are primarily in the user interface and the off-axis (polar) response section. See the thread for v1.4 below for details.

WinPCD v1.400 available for download
The latest update is finally done and available to download. The changes are primarily in the user interface and off-axis calculations and plotting. First, the GUI. The screens seemed too cluttered to me with too many textboxes. The screens now have group boxes that enclose sets of controls rather t...

DIY New England - Fall Edition for 2014
I will be able to host again this year. I'm recovering from ACL reconstruction surgery, but it's not an issue at all now. As usual, it will be on a Saturday in October, no date selected yet. I'll set a date that will work best for the majority of those who think that they'll attend and that will wor...

Re: series parallel connection
In case you're subscribed to this thread for email notification, there are some new changes (v1.3) that include being able to switch midrange or woofer connections series/parallel. Just to be sure, this is only the connection of a driver pair, it has nothing to do with series crossovers.

Version 1.301 available
One more set of changes is in this, primarily having to do with targets. The midrange targets are no longer fixed to be symmetric. Each leg is independent. Other changes are described at the WinPCD web site. Requests finally prompted me to do this. I put it off long enough.
