Re: Meniscus / CSS DIY 2019
Many thanks to Mark, Kerry and Dan for the excellent event. I haven't been to an event since last years Iowa DIY so I was very focused on listening to everyone's speakers. I didn't get to meet several individuals that I wanted too and somehow, it escaped me until near the end that we had an SB rep i...

Re: Statement 2 -questions
1) I have a rebuilt Dyna ST 70 putting out 40 good watts per channel. Will this be adequate to power the Statements in my 16 X 24 living room? I am not a bass fiend... 2) The 5 foot tall transmission-line design were vetoed by my Luddite spouse. She did agree to the sealed version, though. Now, to ...

Re: Any chance for a "Mini Statement II"?
Sorry, I haven't replied. The bottom bass cabinet is reasonably flexible in size as long as you end up with a net of 75-80 liters volume. However, the top cabinet needs to maintain the same width and depth within +/- 10% of the original design to sound as designed. Reversing the tweeter and mid is a...

Re: Any chance for a "Mini Statement II"?
The Statements line of speakers is sealed. You might look at the Anthology's or the new Bordeaux design will be available within the next couple months on Curt's website. Send Curt an email for more info.

Re: New Finalist Build... and some questions.
I made some progress over the last week and now I have more questions. :) In the crossover kit from Meniscus, it looks like there are different plans with disagreeing values for one of the mid resistors. In the plan on Jim's site, it looks like the mid uses a 2.4Ohm and a 3.3Ohm resistor. On the Me...

Sweet! Did they meet your expectations?kentonsj wrote:I prefer the binding posts over the terminal cup too. I made a custom mid tunnel on my CNC router and recessed the switch. Here's some pics. I think your ideas will work fine.

Re: New Finalist Build... and some questions.
This is an easy one. Yes to both questions. However, I'd suggest that you increase the height of the cabinet 3/4" if you're doubling the bottom plate so the volume remains the same.

Is this a "check the gallery for a soon to be announced ..." because I don't see any mention of them in the gallery. The picture looks nice. I'll bet the sound nice. Michael Check the last post in the gallery for basic details about the project. The complete kit will soon be listed here a...
