DIY Speaker Project PAD

For my current build I decided to take a chance on something I'd barely heard of and knew even less about.

The 8" Motus UH205PW1.

These T/S were taken before any break in so Qm will come up a bit.
Fs: 28.9
Qm: 6.08
Qe: .401
Qts: .375
Vas: 56L (a bit smaller than spec)
Mms: 35g
Dcr: 5.01 ohm

In a 1.6CF box with a 3" dia, 10" long port and .7ohm DCR on the coils this will yield an F3 in the Mid 20's and take about 50W of input before reaching Xmax above Fb (~28hz).

Will this be a 2 way design?? If so, what will you be pairing it with? Very interesting!! Keep pics of progress rolling in

I thought I'd try somewhat of an 'ultimate' 8" 2 way so it's going to have a TransducerLab N26CR2 tweeter. So far the pair work well in the test box, crossed at about 1600hz. I figured if it's not going to work out, the Motus would work well in a 3 way too.

Here's the 1m on baffle measured response of the Motus 8. The blue line was with the 31" tall test cabinet on the floor, the red line was with the cabinet off the floor a bit, clearly reducing the 250hz "floor bounce." The midrange response looks great. A bit of a resonance peak is visible centered on 3500hz but that was easy enough to filter out.

Meniscus carries the 5.25" and has the 8" on order.
